Dear Friend, I will try to answer your kind letter which I received quite a while ago but neglected to answer it. It has been quite a pleasant day today. Has Edith told you that we had a little brother? He will be a weak old tomorrow morning. We haven’t got him named yet.
Does Emma Griswold come to school every day? I have been every day but one and that day I went to a show at Stanton and the night I went to a strawberry festival and I had a good time to both. Lilly, she has got a real bad cold. She is almost sick but she keeps to work all the same. How is all of your folks? I would like to see you all.
Well I can’t think of any more so good by from Mary to Lizzie.
Kiss Sadie and Nora for me and keep one for yourself.

“Sadie and Nora”: Sadie and Nora are Lizzie’s sisters
