Miss Lizzie Golden
Dear Friend,
Your standing is quite sufficient to insure to you a certificate, excepting in History. Your standing should be a little higher in that. The law does not permit our board of examiners to grant a certificate to one under sixteen years of age. Will you be of that age soon? If so, you might come to the examination at Coopersville the 29th inst and rewrite on History and raise your standing perhaps to 75 and take a certificate.
Your present standing is 88 in Orthography and Reading. 80 in Penmanship. 78 in Geography. 77 in Grammar. 90 in Arithmetic. 70+ in History. 80 in Civil Government and 80 in Physiology and Hygiene.
Very truly A. W. Talyor, Sec.
Institute fee of 50-cts. In case Cert is granted
