Mary and Lizzie, I rec’d your most welcome letters a long, long ago but have had such a “duce of a time” all this spring I couldn’t answer before. But never the less I am getting to be myself again (says farmer John).
Well, Mare Ann, suppose and Mr. Shug are putting in good hive that is right. You know it is near to the fourth of July now. Has Johnie got his Lemonade pants ready? If not tell him he better send up here after them for they have got some “dandies”.
How much longer Lizzie have you got to Bob Tails. I should think would have them nearly all bobbed by this time. Poor things. I am glad you had such good luck this spring and summer. I could have earned quite a lot of money by this time if I hadn’t been sick. I guess I will go back to work as soon as I get a little stronger. It was a nice place to work.
I look every week in the paper to see if Eda Hanchette has drove her ducks to water yet. Is she at Nunica yet and how is Pete now
Please excuse yellow envelope. All they got over to the store.
This map shows Marquette & Rock River. Both are located in the Upper Peninsula.
