Dear Sister:
I received your very very welcome letter Tuesday eve as Kate and I returned from work. I am well & hope you the same. In fact, we are all well at this ritting. I am glad you are enjoying your school.
Well dear Lizzie, we did not go home Saturday night. I and Sarah done something better. I wish you could see inside of those churches here. They are lovely.
No dout I suppose your cloak is a dandy. I had a letter from Mary and she said she made you a fascinator. I suppose that is nice too. When you & Mart was to the association, you missed me then. I am glad some thing reminded you of me. I suppose Mary is very lonesome at home. I often think of her but to tell the truth I don’t have time to think of very much as there is something to attract my attention all the time. I and Sarah has been all over Syracuse today.
I have one of Uncle Frank’s Pictures. It is very nice too. We did not have our group taken today as we intended. Did you have yours? I hope you did. I had a letter from Mae Hoben the week before last giving me full account of Higgins cristen. I guess they had a high old time. We herd also that Mart Hoben got shot in the hand a week ago today. That is to bad if it is so. Mart sent Kate one of his pictures taken with that thing that works in the art gallery. I think he was smart to send her photo to them. They don’t thank him one bit. I guess he is getting reckless.
They have not received their grandfathers Photo yet. They are quite alarmed over it. I have lots of ritting to do every weeks I have received 18 letters since I came. I will answer Cassie this week. Those Valentines jut struck the girls. Sarah thinks P. Glynn was just right. She is going to rite you soon. Well Liz, what will I get for Mary for a Xmas present. You think of something and let me know in your next letter. Rite soon as I’m xxxx to leave here the Monday night be4 Xmas and I am going to stop in Detroit until Thursday afternoon if nothing happens. So, no more for this time. Give Mary Malone my love, hoping to see you all soon. I remain your loving sister.
Kate
Lizzie now be sure and write to Anna this week without fail for she is anxiously waiting for it. Be sure.
