Dear Cousin Lizzie

I now take the time to answer your kind and much welcome letter.

I have been expecting a letter from you ever since Katie went back.  She told me she would have you write to me.

I received a letter from May Hoban last week, but I have not answered it yet.

And tonight we received one from your sister Mary to Sarah but she in Syracuse sewing.  I have not seen her in two weeks and I have not seen Kate since Christmas.

We were expecting to go after them today, to bring them home but the weather was so bad we could not go.

It is snowing so hard hear that the roads are nearly all filled, it has snowed every day for the last week.

My cousin Pat Cregg had his pictures taken last week, for to send your sister Kate one.

Kate Golden said she sent those Michigan pictures to me the week before last and if she sent them we have not got them yet.

Well dear cousin I suppose you are enjoying yourself and having a good time going to school.  I do not go this winter, but my three brothers are attending school at Elbridge.  So that I am as bad off as your sister Mary.  I am left all alone.  Tell her I can sympathize with her when she is lonesome.

Well as today is Sunday and I have just finished my work, I thought that I would finish your letter.  I suppose you have seen of the New York pictures that Kate brought home with her.  We had a lovely time with Kate when she was hear.  I think she is very nice.  She promised to come down again in the spring to sew and I hope she will full fill her promise.

And I would be glad to have you come with her.  And I know you would enjoy your trip very much.

My brother Edward wrote to Martin your brother last week.  And I wrote to Kate last Wednesday but did not get a change to send it yet on account of the bad weather.

Tell Kate her fellow is all right out hear, and I have not seen him since she left.  I am going to answer May Hoban’s letter today, so that I can send them all with Edward to mail in Elbridge, where, he goes to school.  He has to leave about three o’clock.  It is so far away.  So that I will have to draw my letter to a close hoping an early reply and a long letter.

Your Loving Cousin

Annie Cregg

P.S. We all send our love and best respect to yourself and all your folks.

Good Bye
