My Dearest Friend I suppose I might as well answer your letter today as any time but I don’t think you deserve a very early answer but I will forgive you this time as you had such a good excuse. I am glad my time isn’t so taken up as yours is. Well, how are you anyway. What are you doing today? I’ll bet you are snoozing all day. Have you been to C’Ville lately!
Is Kate staying there now? I expect some more pictures this week and I suppose I will have to send her one when I get them.
I was invited home last night. They were talking of having a little Pedro party there. Just the gang, I suppose. I presume my absence will greatly interfere with their calculations. So I don’t know whether they had one or not.
Tuesday is Lauty’s twenty first birthday. Quite an important event. Well Lizzie, I don’t know of any news to write. The snow is nearly gone. There has been lots of skating but I haven’t been but once. I wonder if there has been any in C’Ville this winter. I believe there was last winter, if I remember rightly. Do you remember anything about it! Well I guess I will have to close for this time. Please answer a little sooner than before.
I am as ever, Your sincere Friend, Lester W. Mills
Never mind putting on the number of the box as they don’t put my mail in it any more.
