Cora: Cora Goodenow ******** Berlin, Michigan March 16, 1892 My dear little girl,---
I was so afraid you would not get my letter in time last week. Dr. Shimmel came over Saturday morning to see if I would not put school off another week. So I wrote you at once and he mailed it for me.
There are quite a good many things I want you to get for us in your school. So I would like to have you come back next week anyway. If you come and want to come Sunday night, I will go to the Mansion Sunday night. Write me.
When I see you I can tell you what I want better than I can write. You must see about school too. Come Sunday night, if you possibly can. I wish Mary would come too.
From Your Friend, Cora
Berlin, Mich. Nov 10 1892
Dear Lizzie,
Yours received yesterday. Was so glad to get it Lizzie. I did not intend to say anything to hurt you dear. No I did not. You know I would not. What I want now is You to come to our social tomorrow night. If you can’t do any other way, come on the 9:20 train. Stay all night with me and go back the next day. Come Lizzie if you possible can. I want to see you so much. Wont you.
I am writing this in a hurry. Tell Martin I can not get him a dictionary enough cheaper to pay. He can get one with out the “Index” for $10. And that is about the best any can do. Tell him also that Cleveland is elected so he can come to our social.
I m not done hoping to see you tomorrow night. With Love Cora
