Tallmadge, Mich. June 19, 1892 Dear Miss Golden,-
I thought I would write you letter seen I didn’t write one in my Language class. I am writing this on Sunday but I guess it won’t do any damage if I don’t do anything worse then to write a letter. Be you going to stay all night with me? I have a piece to speek a lone the last day it is to be spoke last.
This paper is some that my Uncle gave to me a year ago last winter. Isan”t the picture on it cute? I have a cute little kitten that is five or six weeks old it stays out to the barn with its mother but when it gets older I am going to fetch it into the house for we have none in the house now.
This is a very rainy day, but just now it is not raining and the sun is pretty near shining. This is a very lonesome day.
Mary Ann Mours said she was coming to school the last day. I ask Bertha my sister-in-law if she was coming up to school and she said she didn’t know. She has a little baby named Earl which is very cute. He will be two the thirteenth of August. I am going to put nine questions into the question box this week. I have them all wrote.
Well I guess this is all for this time when you get home answer this letter and I will answer yours.
Well this is a pretty long letter for me to write. Excuse poor writing.
Your pupil,
Edna Smith, Tallmadge, Ottawa Co., Mich.,
