My dear Friend: -
Suppose you are looking for your “overland mail” so will try and get it on the way.
Have been spending a few days in the city this week and the time seems rather long; imagine you are rushing things on the farm. Suppose you could see to ride Sun. eve all right. It was such a lovely night don’t you think so? Do not be disappointed again but Kate is going to move tomorrow or Mon and wants us to wait till she is in her new house; three times and out! It’s a good thing. Push it along.
I can not think of any thing to write for some reason that would be interesting to you as you know I don’t care to write any thing to the contrary.
Frank said he thought I was out rather late the other night but I didn’t believe it. If you can come a little early Sun, I won’t tell you what for until you get there. Perhaps you will think that soon enough. Mary is here with me. We have been here since Wednesday. A long time to be away from home.
Well I have this sheet nearly full of nothing. Will have to begin to think of something. Think our postmaster will think it is about time to charge extra postage for handling mail. I have decided not to write any more letters unless I receive a reply. Don’t you take the hint. This is all. Write soon.
With love from Elizabeth
Excuse poor ink
