Miss Lizzie,
Dear Friend, I received you kind invitation in due time but am very sorry to say I am afraid I can’t go as Miss Mabel is planning for a Thanksgiving dinner and she is in the store all the time and there is no one they can get. It seems as if I must miss all the fun.
I shall wish you health, wealth and prosperity and a long and happy life. I shall remember you in my prayers. I hope you will have a nice day. I wish I could go. I expect I shall have the blues about that time. Well give my love to all and kiss the baby for me.
From Your Friend, Nora Culligan
