Envelope: the front is postmarked Coopersville, Mich., Nov 15, 1897, 6PM The back is postmarked Dennison, Mich. 1887. The envelope was stamped with a 2-cent stamp. It is addressed to Miss Elizabeth Golden, Dennison, Mich. c/o P. Golden Sr. The top left corner of the envelope had the following written on it: Box 67 Coopersville, Michigan The back of the envelope had the following notes: No fire in the stove but pretty warm consultation, that evening. Nov, 16 – 1897 Elizabeth Golden Willie Fitzpatrick, Dennison Mich. ***************

My Dear Elizabeth:-
I acknowledge with pleasure, receipt of a very neat invitation to attend your marriage and reception. It is expressing it but mildly to say I was indeed very happily surprised.
You have my heartiest congratulations upon the coming joyful event and best wishes for joy and prosperity in the future.
If there is anything I can do to assist you – will gladly do so and please do not hesitate to ask any favor, for shall be only delighted to grant any within my power.
You are, no doubt, very busy at present and your time is valuable so will not detain you longer.
