Silent One
Hey there old sail boat, half buried in the sand, still as death When last was it you've bucked a swell, taken a watery breath
Looks as tho you have aged some, to say the least And long it's been since within you life has ceased
With rusted anchor and rigging all away You have a list and on your starboard side do lay
Weathered planking, paint long gone from your hull You serve now only as a resting place for a passing gull
Tis likely though, if you could, there is much you would say And speak of joyful times from some bygone day |
